I was studying for my driving theory test when writing a tagline for this blog. So when thinking of its purpose, I imagined being at an intersection and how the destinations were different but met at that specific place for a time in the journey.
This blog is about fashion, namely trends and ideas and how they come to be. The reality is that they don’t just come out of thin air. They start as a conversation, an inspiration, and sometimes, dissent.
My name is Cheyenne Abisha Brown. I am 26 years old. I am a journalist with bylines in British Vogue, FT Weekend, HTSI, Livingetc and more. But that’s not why you should read this blog or why I started it.
My passion and my purpose is to write about what happens where fashion and culture, namely socioeconomics, technology, psychology and politics meet. It wasn’t an epiphany or something I thought would make me sound smarter. I’ve been writing about this over the years and finding that every time I stray from it, I hear the call to come back home. I feel that I have something to say that the world needs to hear. Upon reading my think pieces, I hope you’ll agree.
